Position Title:

Trainer Wage: $24.50 - $28.00/Hour

Shift: 2nd Shift

Trainer Responsibilities:

Ensure all new hires are greeted and welcomed upon their first day at the beginning of shift

Conduct short tour of the production floor, lunchrooms, bathrooms, etc Introduce new hire to all Line Leaders and production team Position each new hire on a line and explain all positions on the line Assign a mentor

Check on each new hire throughout the shift

Initiate and complete all training documents

Introduce line safety including housekeeping expectations

Train to perform at standard rates of speed while producing acceptable levels of quality

Follow all necessary and required production procedures

Inform where emergency stop buttons are and to be aware of surroundings

Explain and train quality procedures and cGMP’sPerform line work when not training

Use of tape gun and safety knife when needed

Train employees on all safety training programs specific for the position, i.e., LOTO, and other trainings as required

Train employees on timekeeping and labor tracking system

May back up Production Supervisor Requirements For Trainer:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Able to read, write and speak English One or more years of experience as a Trainer in a manufacturing environment

Must be personable, work well with others and possess good communication skills

Walk; reach above shoulders; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl up throughout shift

Stand (all 8 hours of the shift or overtime as required); use hands to finger, handle or touch; and talk or hear 2/3 and more of the time

Lift or force to be exerted up to 10 pounds 2/3 and more of the time

Lift or force to be exerted up to 25 pounds 1/3 to 2/3 of the time

Lift or force to be exerted up to 50 pounds 1/3 of the time or less Palletizing – up to 10 feet carrying full cartons and stacking them on a pallet. Also, dumping bottles, dumping a box of empty bottles into the hopper. Sometimes boxes are large and awkward – may have to lift overhead

Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more)
