Salary: $19.20 Annually
Are you someone who likes staying busy, working with your hands, and seeing the results of your hard work every day? As a Machine Operator
, you’ll be a key player in keeping production moving safely, smoothly, and efficiently. No two days are exactly the same—and that’s what makes it exciting!
- Operate mechanical and hydraulic presses, including 300-ton, 443, and 0004 presses
- Set up machines, load coils, feed materials, and make adjustments for different products
- Operate circle shear and Cut-to-Length (CTL) equipment from start to finish
- Set up dies, choppers, and oil systems to keep production rolling
- Safely change punches and rings using cranes
- Measure and record dimensions to make sure products are exact
- Inspect finished parts using tools and quality standards
- Monitor tooling and help identify when sharpening or rebuilding is needed
- Keep production records, inspection logs, and inventory updated
- Safely load and unload trucks
- Wrap, label, band, and document incoming/outgoing materials
- Transport materials and dumpsters using the company box truck
- Bale scrap, stack skids, and keep work areas organized
- Support shipping and receiving when needed
- Join workplace safety programs and team initiatives
- Help improve productivity and processes
- Maintain clean, organized work spaces using 5S standards
- Work closely with teammates across departments to get the job done
- Previous manufacturing, industrial, or machine operating experience (preferred)
- Ability to read instructions, blueprints, and shop paperwork
- Basic computer skills (SAP/ERP experience is a bonus!)
- Good math skills for measurements and production counts
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Stay active with standing and walking throughout the shift
- Use hands and arms regularly to operate machinery and handle materials
- Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with varying temperatures
- Wear required PPE including safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, and hearing protection
