The primary result expected from the Machine Operator position is to operate rotational molding machines as designated under the supervision and direction of operations leadership. The Machine Operator will monitor the quality of the plastic parts after they are demolded to ensure the parts meet quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate rotational molding machine to meet or exceed plant metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale/inventory.
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per the PM charts.
  • Perform but not limited to the following tasks: material filling, deburring, molding, all bench operations, and inspection of product.
  • Work at a pace that meets company expectations (e.g., parts per hour or minutes per part as quoted to customer).
  • Accept frequent supervision and assistance regarding machine set‑up.

Preferred and

Required Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred.

Experience and/or Training: Prior rotational molding experience preferred.

Licenses/Certificates: No requirements.

Technology/Computer Equipment: Ability to utilize computer platforms to access work instructions.

Physical and Mental Demands
  • This position requires constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent climbing stairs throughout the day.
  • Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, crouching, or reaching above the shoulders may be required.
  • Frequent use of hands and wrists on both large and small items (e.g., screws, bolts, nuts) to service the molds.
  • Able to focus and work at a continuous pace for extended periods.
  • 15 to 25 lbs. frequent lifting; 20 to 40 lbs. occasional lifting.
  • Manual dexterity is required to perform normal day‑to‑day functions.
