Responsibilities
- The Operations Supervisor oversees all aspects of day‑to‑day production, manufacturing, and distribution of personnel activities.
- Leads team meetings and facilitates continuous improvements in the process with emphasis on quality and reduction of cost and waste.
- Responsible for ensuring the production of a quality product and meeting production/customer specifications while achieving plant productivity objectives.
- Identifies and corrects unsafe situations and/or behaviors and models safety in all activities.
- Reports, evaluates, and when necessary investigates all work‑related accidents by identifying contributing factors and implementing corrective action.
- Acts as a team player possessing excellent communication skills and the ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively.
- Adapts to a rapidly changing environment, works under pressure, and meets deadlines.
- Assesses situations, makes judgments, analyzes problems (not just symptoms), makes logical decisions, and carries out the decisions made.
- Works as a team with other supervisors to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Thoroughly communicates all needed information with the other shifts.
- Collaborates with management, maintenance, quality, and engineering to solve production challenges.
- Enforces company policies and rules.
- Ensures safe working conditions and rectifies any issues.
- Responsible for the training, motivation, discipline, and performance measurement of employees, completing written evaluations of full‑time direct reports under the guidance of the Value Stream Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Business, Management) preferred.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Minimum of 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong decision‑making skills and proven ability to prioritize department needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Experience with Work Force “Time Keeping and Attendance” is a plus.
- Experience with Success Factors is a plus.
