Production QC/QA
Responsibilities
- Assign, monitor, delegate assignments and react to activities throughout the value stream supporting job rotations
- Ensure that Team Improvement boards, Day by Hour boards, etc. are completely filled out on an hourly/daily basis
- Ensure productivity by fielding questions, ensuring operators are on track and understand work assignments
- Serve as liaison between the VS Team Leader and Leadership regarding work assignments and projects
- Regularly lead Kaizen or other problem‑solving events
- Participate actively in the layered audit process conducting daily audits
- Ensure all team members are performing and documenting quality checks based on department procedures
- Delegate work assignments, maintain kiosk boards, and report out on activities within the value stream
- Fill in for operators during meetings or cover absences as needed
- Cross‑train within multiple areas to create flexibility and understanding
- Accountable for VS metrics such as Safety, Quality, LISC, Scrap, and Units per Labor Hour
- Responsible for training, including working with team members to develop and maintain their Skills Matrix
- Facilitate weekly team meetings and lead Safety Toolbox talks
- Other duties may be assigned at a later time
- Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures to eliminate risk to health and the environment; notify leadership of unsafe conditions or practices and report all safety and/or environmental incidents immediately
- Participate in peer‑based teams (e.g., Natural High Performance Teams) and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5‑S
- High School diploma or GED, additional education preferred
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to speak and share information in a group setting
- Sound decision‑making skills
- Good math, reading and writing skills
- Ability to exercise continuous mental, visual and audio attention
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving skills (CAR/PAR/8D)
