Position: Assistant Director of Nursing/ Unit Manager

Unit Manager (RN/LPN) – Wound Care or Infection Control Focus

Northridge Health and Rehab has an exciting opportunity for a Unit Manager to join our exceptional team in a supportive, rewarding, and resident-centered environment.

About the Role

As the Unit Manager
, you’ll lead clinical care on your unit while supporting and developing a team of dedicated nursing staff. You'll collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure the highest quality of patient care while maintaining regulatory compliance and serving as a key liaison for residents and families.

You’ll also oversee one of our specialty care programs:

  • Wound Care Unit Manager
  • Infection Control Unit Manager
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day nursing care on your unit
  • Supervise, support, and mentor clinical staff
  • Lead clinical rounds and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Collaborate in care planning and quality improvement initiatives
  • Step into leadership in the absence of the Director of Nursing
  • Part of on call rotation
Wound Care Focused
  • Assess, treat, and manage a range of wounds (e.g., pressure ulcers, surgical wounds)
  • Develop evidence-based wound care plans and educate patients/families
  • Document care accurately and monitor healing progress
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for holistic care
Infection Control Focused
  • Conduct infection surveillance and staff training
  • Investigate exposure incidents and implement follow-up actions
  • Ensure compliance with all infection prevention protocols
  • Lead policy updates and coordinate with local health authorities as needed
