Shift: Shift 1
Shift Details: Flexible. 32 hours a week. Off day rotation. Weeknight rotation call. Holidays:
Holiday rotation on call. Weekends:
Every 6th on call.
Plans, organizes, coordinates and provides direct nursing care for an identified group of patients according to specific standards.
Additional responsibilities vary by clinical specialty (choose one of the following options):
- Critical Care: At least one year Med/Surg experience required, preference for ER and/or CCU experience; ACLS required within first year.
- Emergency Services: At least one year Med/Surg experience required; consider new graduates with paramedic experience; ACLS required within first year; PALS and TNCC preferred.
- Women's and Children's Center: None required; preference for one year Med/Surg, pediatric, and/or OB nursing; NRP certification required within first year.
- Specialty Float: At least one year Med/Surg required; ER/CCU experience preferred; will float between CCU, ER, and PACU; ACLS required within first year.
- General Float: At least one year Med/Surg required; will float between Med/Surg, Surgery Center, and Post Partum.
- Medical/Surgical: None required; one year Med/Surg nursing preferred.
- Prep & Holding/PACU: Prefer at least two years experience in CCU, Cardiac Rehab, ER, or Surgical Services; ACLS required within first year.
- Surgery Center/Special Procedures: Prefer two years Med/Surg and/or Ortho nursing;
Ambulatory Per-Anesthesia nursing certificate and ACLS preferred. - Surgical Services:
Operating Room: None required; prefer two to three years experience in Surgical/Ortho and/or OR nursing; OR Nurse certificate preferred; graduate of accredited nursing school and current unrestricted Wisconsin RN license required; excellent customer service, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills required; CPR certification required.
