Job Summary
The EMS Coordinator serves as the designated hospital site contact between Froedtert Health hospital staff, providers, and EMS community partners. This role enhances communication, identifies educational and training opportunities, supports community engagement, and plays an active role in quality assurance and quality improvement. Additionally, the coordinator collaborates on hospital operations involving EMS, provides expertise on EMS-related topics, and fosters strong relationships with EMS partners to ensure seamless integration between pre‑hospital and hospital care.

Standard
Hours:
20 hours per week
Shift: Shift 1 (On‑site)
A minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room nursing or EMS experience is required. 3 years of Emergency Room nursing or EMS experience is preferred.
EducationProfessional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level acquired through completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse is required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
LicensureRequires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi‑state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA‑approved equivalent is required before competing orientation. American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required before completing orientation.
