A Laboratory Technician responsible for calibration, testing, and maintenance of nuclear measurement instruments such as density gauges and radiation detection devices in a controlled lab environment.
Role OverviewA Laboratory Technician responsible for calibration, testing, and maintenance of nuclear measurement instruments such as density gauges and radiation detection devices in a controlled lab environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform in-lab calibration and verification of instrument accuracy according to standards
- Conduct minor troubleshooting and repairs on calibration equipment
- Document calibration results adhering to ISO/IEC 17025 and quality requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory workspace
- Support equipment intake, inspection, and shipment processes
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and regulatory standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement of lab processes and workflows
- Collaborate with team members, communicate findings, and support a safety-focused environment
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a technical, mechanical, or laboratory setting
- Experience with calibration, testing, or instrumentation preferred
- Familiarity with radiation detection equipment or nuclear gauges is a plus (training provided)
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 or similar quality systems preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and work independently
