Position Overview

The Foreman / Lead Carpenter is a key leader on our production team. You will lead a crew of 3—4 carpenters on residential remodeling and custom home projects, working alongside your team to build high-quality results while keeping projects on schedule and communicating clearly with the Project Manager. This is a working foreman role. You will set daily goals, coordinate the work, solve problems, and ensure the job is built right while leading by example in the field.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a crew of 3—4 carpenters on residential remodeling and custom home projects Conduct daily planning meetings and assign tasks
  • Read and interpret blueprints and build according to plans and specifications
  • Perform a variety Of carpentry tasks including framing, exterior finishes, window and door installation, stair systems, and more Coordinate materials and make calls for additional materials as needed
  • Communicate daily progress, outstanding items, and potential issues to the Project Manager
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
  • Collaborate with trade partners and subcontractors
  • Uphold company standards for quality, safety, and professionalism
  • Lead through teaching, coaching, and respect—not by intimidation
What We're Looking For
  • 4+ years of residential carpentry experience
  • Crews are productive, engaged, and working safely
  • Experience in residential remodeling strongly preferred
  • Projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards
  • Strong knowledge of wood framing and remodeling construction
  • Clear and consistent communication with the Project Manager
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Issues are identified early and resolved effectively
  • Experience leading crews or a desire to grow into a leadership role
  • Clients and trade partners respect and trust your leadership
  • Willingness to work at heights and in all weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail
