Accounts Receivable Part-Time

Spherion Staffing in Mankato is looking for an organized, detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Representative to join a local team immediately! This is an ideal role for someone looking for steady daytime hours with the opportunity to take on more hours as you train in. While starting as a temporary position, there is a strong possibility of transitioning into a permanent, full-time role for the right candidate.

• Accounts Receivable Processing:
  Process and post daily receipts (resident payments, HOA payments, public housing deposits) accurately and on time. Post rent charges, late fees, and utility chargebacks. Assist with reconciliations, billing updates, and maintenance work order billings.
• Stakeholder & Resident Communication:
  Respond courteously to routine account balance, charge, and payment inquiries. Assist with the preparation and distribution of annual Certificates of Rent Paid (CRPs).
• Delinquency & Collections Support:
  Monitor delinquency reports and aging schedules. Send late notices using established templates and compile account histories to support collection processes.
• Compliance & Data Security:
  Follow established internal controls, separation-of-duties rules, and accounting policies. Ensure actions adhere to Fair Housing laws and protect sensitive resident and business data.

  Coordinate with Property Managers, Field Services, and Accounts Payable to support accurate financial processing.

Flexible Growth:
Start at 30 hours/week (10 AM - 4 PM) with room to gain extra training hours and the potential to move into a full-time role!

• Education & Experience:
  
  AA degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
• Experience:
  
  1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or accounting support roles.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel).
