Job Type: Part‑time

Position

The Community Assistant is responsible for providing high‑quality customer service and administrative support to residents and office staff. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the property’s reputation and ensuring residents feel valued and supported.

Property

Quarters Mankato, a resort‑style student housing community with 178 units and 496 beds, built and designed with Minnesota State University, Mankato students in mind.

Schedule & Compensation

• Part‑time position, variable schedule not to exceed 29.5 hours per week.

• Rotating nights and weekends required, varying with property needs.

• Compensation: $12.00 per hour plus bonus potential.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, prospects, vendors, officials, and community members.
  • Participate with the execution of marketing efforts on campus, community events, and resident appreciation events.
  • Respond to leasing inquiries, schedule appointments, conduct tours, maintain show units, and follow up with potential residents.
  • Assist with annual unit turnover and execute move‑in/move‑out procedures.
  • Complete administrative and front desk tasks and duties.
  • Ensure accurate file documentation and assist in the collection of required fees in accordance with company policy.
  • Seek and communicate feedback from residents to the team.
  • Respond to after‑hour emergency issues as needed.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Property Manager.
Requirements
  • Preferably live onsite and currently enrolled at the university.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High integrity and professionalism.
  • Self‑motivated and excels in a team environment.
  • Positive and innovative approach to problem‑solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs:
    Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
