Job Description- Shift: 1st shift (8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday)

On‑site, North Mankato, MN - Starting Salary: $85,400 – $128,100 annually, paid Bi‑Weekly

Position ObjectiveCoordinate activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and advertising for the organization.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities- Execute procurement activities associated with government contracting.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. laws and regulations and act as Procurement SME.
- Prepare solicitations, evaluate quotes, and prepare award documents.
- Review purchase descriptions and supporting technical documentation with the Contracts Manager to ensure proper clause selection and develop unique terms for solicitations and subsequent purchase or delivery orders.
- Perform price analysis, including pricing of non‑standard technical elements for business case review.
- Prepare contract modifications, identify circumstances prohibiting modification, and apply procedures for modifying contracts in accordance with existing regulations.
- Execute pre‑award and post‑award actions (FAR & DFAR flow downs, Small Business Plans, TINA analysis, etc.).
- Apply knowledge of Federal and DOD procurement and acquisition laws, regulations and policies.
- Perform pre‑award and post‑award functions including principles, policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Use procurement systems (ERP, Excel, Word) to acquire, maintain, and accurately record data.
- Perform post‑award administrative functions on purchase orders to suppliers.
- Demonstrate strong analytical problem‑solving and multitasking skills.
- Work efficiently in a fast‑paced, constantly changing environment.
- Exercise excellent judgment, decision‑making, and discretion.
- Work professionally with both external and internal customers.
- Provide backup coverage as defined by the department manager.
- Complete additional duties assigned by the department manager as required by business needs.
- Experience in government contracting procurement strongly desired.
- Four years of purchasing duties required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Oracle (ERP) experience desired.
- B.S. degree in Business or equivalent and/or experience in government contracting.
