Title:
Sr. Buyer Key Accountabilities
- Process purchasing award summaries and purchasing documents
- Assist in the development of Commodity Team strategies that align with Global Purchasing and Logistics Objectives
- Develop sourcing lists and monitor supplier performance
- Aggressively resolve all pricing, invoicing and contract related issues with the suppliers
- Negotiate pricing, terms and annual contracts with suppliers
- Analyze supplier cost / pricing information and benchmark the competition
- Maintain open communication between internal departments, management, and suppliers
- Support cost savings initiatives
- Support the implementation of a standardized process approach utilizing digitalization, common forms, measurements, and structure
- Forecast annual material, purchasing volumes, annual savings, tooling costs and repair budget
- Maintain good housekeeping practices
- Adhere to company/professional ethics governing the handling of confidential information and the observation of confidentiality
- Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct
- Perform special projects as required

- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Materials Management, or Business Finance, and 5 years of procurement, materials management, supplier cost analysis, or supply chain management experience; or 9 years of experience in procurement, materials management, supplier cost analysis, or supply chain management
- Ability to travel - domestic and international on a limited basis and learn commodity processes at supplier locations
- Experience handling confidential sensitive matters with discretion
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others
- Excellent working knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures
- Excellent financial/cost analysis and problem-solving skills when issues are very complex
- Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills
- Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills, and the ability to understand the needs of the internal customer
- Excellent ability to interpret blueprints and engineering documents
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with little direction
- Knowledge of production planning, supply chain and/or materials management processes
- Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite
- Specific knowledge of Off-Highway Diesel Engine commodities, materials and products
- SAP experience
- Engineering or technical degree
- German language skills

Pay Range$81,520 - $132,470 annually
