Your role in our team:

This role is to oversee and provide leadership to the daily operations of the automated warehouse with an emphasis on customer satisfaction, productivity, operational and cost efficiencies, machinery availability, overall labor climate with core WITRON values of health and safety.

You are a dynamic and experienced leader with a strong background in manufacturing operations, especially in fast-paced and high-pressure environments. You bring a strategic mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a hands‑on approach to leadership. You thrive in complex settings, are committed to continuous improvement, and foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and performance excellence. You build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication, operational transparency, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service, acting as a trusted partner and point of escalation for onsite support.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven success in fast‑paced, high‑pressure leadership roles within manufacturing environments
  • Strong team‑oriented leadership with a track record of delivering results
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Analytical and solutions‑focused, with a practical mindset
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new skills and tasks
  • Experienced in system implementation and leading by example
  • Prior experience in manufacturing startups
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization

Skills/Experience

Required:

  • 5–10 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Solid understanding of fundamental maintenance principles
  • Proficient in budgeting and financial management
  • Experience managing capital projects (an asset)
  • Knowledge of quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Advanced organizational skills, including expertise in 5S practices
  • Leadership experience in both unionised and non‑unionised settings
  • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain fundamentals
  • Industry experience in grocery or retail (an asset)
  • Proven ability to build and lead high‑performing teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the production, maintenance, HR, and IT support teams, ensuring effective product management and inventory control, with health and safety as a core value
  • Define, communicate, and align the goals and objectives of both the service support and onsite teams
  • Provide strategic direction for the facility by identifying operational challenges and implementing proactive, data‑driven solutions to enhance productivity and sustainability
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while fostering a strong safety culture aimed at achieving zero incidents
  • Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives to proactively improve workplace safety
