Position: Client Relationship Consultant 2 (Banker) - Mankato Main

Responsibilities

Client Relationship Consultants build relationships with customers, engaging them via multiple channels including in-person, by appointment, and virtually to provide the best possible counsel while adopting a digital‑first mindset. Strong client relationships are based on trust, assessing and attending to customers’ banking needs, obtaining and processing customer and account information, demonstrating and educating clients on available deposit and loan products and services, and recommending solutions based on each customer’s unique goals and needs.

They build and foster relationships through proactive outreach and follow up, asking questions and learning about financial needs and banking channel preferences. They identify solutions for new and existing clients by effectively engaging and communicating with clients, maintaining a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services, and providing a consistent optimal client experience, including greeting clients and processing basic transactions.

They develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners to best serve clients, open new accounts, complete service requests, submit credit applications, proactively educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services, and leverage available resources and technology to optimize client experience with operational excellence and accuracy.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Typically has a minimum three to four years of job‑related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training.

Preferred Skills /

Experience:

  • Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow‑up.
  • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems.
  • Proven customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self‑service technologies.
  • Ability to explore and identify a customer’s true needs while leveraging a digital‑first mindset.
  • Demonstrated basic level of proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer needs both reactively and proactively.
  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred.

Requirements:
This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation

Z. Applicants will be subject to a required registration process, which includes a criminal background and credit check. Failure to meet or maintain any of the NMLS registration requirements may result in rescission of the offer or termination of employment.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour.
