Position Summary
The Mankato Clinic is seeking a General Surgeon to join our existing practice at our Main Clinic of 3 physicians and 4 advanced practice providers
- Call 1:3
- Surgical Center and Hospital-based surgeries
- Bread and butter surgery, colorectal or endoscopy interest
- Onsite Diagnostic Imaging and Lab
- Robust EMR

Local Practice and Community Overview
The Mankato Clinic was established in 1916, is locally owned by our physicians who are committed to the health of this region. We offer primary and specialty care with more than 175 providers and nearly 700 employees located across 13 sites in 4 communities, including Mankato, North Mankato, St. Peter, and Mapleton. Mankato/North Mankato has a Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) population of 98,000 and is located 80 miles west of Rochester, MN and 75 miles south of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul. The Clinics surrounding service area consists of a population of about 250,000. Situated in a rich agricultural setting, residents enjoy year-round recreational choices including hiking or biking on over 50 miles of paved trails, 600 acres of public parks, swimming, water skiing and boating on numerous rivers and lakes during the summer, and snow skiing, hockey and ice-skating in the winter.
The economy is well balanced with shopping and dining, manufacturing, service industries and higher education.
Desired Professional Skills
- Must be a Doctor of Medicine/ Doctor of Osteopathy
- Completion of an ACGME General Surgery residency program
- Fellowship trained in colorectal a plus
- Licensed in MN or ability to obtain State of Minnesota Medical License
- Board Eligible or Board Certified by American Board of Surgery or American Osteopathic Board of Surgery
