Social Work Practicum Education Assistant - Social Work

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the BSSW and MSW Practicum Directors.
  • Assist with maintaining and managing sensitive data for a practicum education software program.
  • Assist in reviewing, designing, and updating program documents (e.g., Practicum Education Manual, policies, procedures, and accreditation materials).
  • Transfer, clean, and update data across platforms to ensure accurate records.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to support program evaluation efforts.
  • Write technical reports summarizing key findings for departmental stakeholders.
  • Design and update digital forms and surveys using platforms such as Sonia and Qualtrics to support data collection and program improvement.
  • Adhere to confidentiality practices within the program regarding student information.
  • Coordinate with program supervisors to align task execution with departmental goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Evidence of satisfactory progress toward a graduate degree.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office software suite and Zoom.
  • Ability to work on campus, in-person.
  • Admitted to a Minnesota State University, Mankato graduate program by start date.
  • Enrolled in a minimum of six (6) graduate credits per semester during assistantship, and in good academic standing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Programs (Excel/Word/Teams), Qualtrics, Canva, D2L, and Zoom.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of data cleaning, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
  • Creativity and initiative in problem‑solving and task execution.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.

Salary/Stipend: Up to $10,000 plus tuition stipends, dependent upon availability of funds, period of appointment, and assignment. Appointments made after the tenth day of classes are not eligible for a tuition waiver.

Related Information: Minnesota State System policy requires that graduate assistants must reside within the State of Minnesota for the duration of their appointment.
