RESPONSIBILITIES/

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Graduate Assistant will assist in the general operation of Accessibility Resources in providing academic accommodations for students with disabilities. Responsibilities include assisting AR staff in coordinating and providing accommodations, with a primary focus on accommodated testing. The GA will work closely with professional staff, faculty, and students to create an organized and student‑centered testing environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic technology skills, including the Microsoft Office suite.
• The ability to work under pressure and strong attention to accuracy and detail.
• A Bachelor's Degree
• Admitted to a Minnesota State University, Mankato graduate program by start date.
• Enrolled in a minimum of six (6) graduate credits per semester during assistantship, and in good academic standing.

• Preference is given to those with experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• A commitment to maintaining strict privacy and confidentiality.
• Professional, reliable, and open to learning new skills and processes.
• Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.

SALARY/STIPEND:Up to $5,000 plus tuition stipends,dependent upon availability of funds, period of appointment, and assignment. Appointments made after the tenth day of classes are not eligible for a tuition waiver.

RELATED INFORMATION:

This position is a half-time GA, 10 hours per week.

Minnesota State System policy requires that graduate assistants must reside within the State of Minnesota for the duration of their appointment.
