Career Pathways Coordinator
Mankato Area Public Schools has a position open for a full-time Career Pathways Coordinator beginning July 2026. The Career Pathways Coordinator establishes and manages a comprehensive, district-wide system of public-private partnerships. The primary objective of this role is to build sustainable programming and structures that prepare Pre K-12 students for high-demand, high-wage employment opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide program leadership to develop and evaluate a Pre K-12 career readiness framework in collaboration with the Minnesota Department of Education.
- Maintain pathway oversight by managing district career pathways (CTE, Work-Based Learning) and organizing student technical skill-building events.
- Drive stakeholder engagement by acting as the primary liaison to local businesses, advisory councils, higher education, and community partners.
- Utilize data & analytics to track student success and analyze enrollment trends using SLEDS, Naviance, and district assessments.
- Perform system auditing of MAPS K-12 pathway tiers to implement sustainable improvements based on national best practices.
- Serve as the AVID District Director to establish the overarching vision, cultivate a collaborative culture, and drive district wide decision-making.
- Lead resource management by monitoring educational levies/legislation and actively securing grants to fund pathway initiatives.
- Design and evaluate specialized frameworks, including a K-12 Agricultural literacy model aligned with MN Next Gen Science Standards.
- Manage training & marketing by leading staff professional development on pathway metrics and promoting program opportunities to the community.
- Maintain safety compliance by ensuring all initiatives and activities adhere strictly to District 77 safety policies.
- Proven experience in educational program coordination, workforce development, or public-private project management.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders, including educators, corporate partners, and community leaders.
- Strong data literacy, with experience capturing, analyzing, and presenting metrics to track program success.
- Exceptional communication, marketing, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with educational funding streams, grant administration, or public levy structures.
- Current licensure as a Licensed School Counselor, Career & Technical Education (CTE) Teacher, or a credential in a closely related field.
- Experience with AVID programming
- Direct experience navigating Minnesota-specific educational frameworks, including SLEDS and Naviance.
- Foundational knowledge of the MN Next Gen Science Standards as they relate to Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources.
