Student Success Coach
The Mankato School District has one position available for a Student Success Coach beginning September 2026 at our Elementary school sites. Elementary school hours are 8:00 a.m.
- 2:30 p.m. Both full-time and part-time positions are available. Flexible scheduling options are available.
Summary of Duties:
Under the direction of the Student Support Team, the Student Success Coach provides targeted social-emotional support to identified students. This role plays a key part in implementing and reinforcing the school-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework across all three tiers, helping to foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment. Build positive relationships and serve as a trusted adult mentor.
Provide behavioral, social-emotional, and academic support. Implement evidence-based behavior interventions and restorative practices. Promote student engagement, attendance, and school connectedness. Reinforce organization, self-regulation, and problem-solving skills. Monitor student progress and maintain intervention documentation. Collaborate with school staff, families, and community partners. Supervise students in classrooms and common areas. Participate in intervention planning and professional development.
Ideal Candidates:
Passion for mentoring and supporting youth Strong interpersonal and communication skills Experience in education, youth services, counseling, or behavioral support preferred Knowledge of PBIS, restorative practices, or trauma-informed practices is beneficial.
Requirements:
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria to qualify for this position:
Highly Qualified: 60-semester credits (or two years full-time at an institute of higher education) or an Associate's degree (AA, AS, AAS) or must pass the Para educator assessment before the first day of employment.

Pay:
Starting at $18.50 - up to $19.72 per hour (Based on experience in a public school setting). Eligible Employee Benefits include:
