Program Advisor - MSUAASF Range B
This is an outreach position that works out of Minnesota State University, Mankato. Its purpose is to provide grant specified services to low-income, potential first-generation college students from southcentral Minnesota high schools. The Advisor will implement tutoring and advising sessions at target schools; maintain records; evaluate students; develop curriculum; recruit students for the program; interact with target school personnel; work on program publications;
plan/coordinate monthly Saturday Sessions. This is a grant position and is contingent upon continued funding.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field (Conferred on an official transcript at the time of application).
- Knowledge and understanding of federal rules and regulations
- One year of experience working with high school students
- Experience in developing curriculum and student activities
- Ability to administer, evaluate and interpret standardized tests and inventories
- Demonstrated ability to communicate well in writing and verbally
- Familiarity with the secondary education system and current trends
- Ability to teach and deliver services remotely
- Demonstrated ability to work with program participants from diverse backgrounds in groups and individually.

- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
- One year working with TRIO programs
