Starting Salary
: $72,600 to $108,900 Annually
Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly

Drives improvement and corrective action in the quality of components sourced from outside suppliers. Provides technical support in the selection of suppliers. Assist with monitoring supplier performance to drive supplier corrective action, manufacturing yield issues and field failures. Responsible to comply with applicable corporate procedures.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support and lead supplier related quality projects to assist our Minnesota, Lexington, and Reynosa locations.
- Evaluate potential suppliers through on-site visits/audits.
- Improve supplier capabilities prior to product launch and develop suppliers post product launch, including product audits.
- Support Engineering Change Management.
- Conduct supplier audits to confirm implemented Corrective Action plans, quality systems, overall operations, and work with suppliers to minimize and/or eliminate quality/performance issues.
- Participate in continual improvement programs and activities to support the achievement of department KPI's.
- Evaluate and approve sources ensuring products meet technical and product safety compliance standards.
- Support Engineering Change Management.
- Work with suppliers on complaint management thru root cause, corrective actions using tools such as 8D, concession, control plans and design reviews.
- Participate in continual improvement programs and activities to support the achievement of department KPI's.
- Support the need to track all supplier related costs associated with inferior quality and/or service; summarize these costs and work with suppliers to eliminate issues.
- Continue to update and revise the supplier evaluation system to meet quality requirements and qualify new suppliers.
- Guide the development of Quality Control Plans and PPAP's for new products and implement lean manufacturing and error proofing strategies with suppliers.
