Job Overview

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is a leading power engineering consultant firm that provides engineering, system planning and studies, technical consultation, project management, surveying, environmental planning, commissioning/testing and construction services to electric utilities, energy developers and industrials throughout the U.S. Our experience includes system voltages from 4.16 kV through 765 kV.

Conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of new, upgraded and expanded substations, including material procurement, construction and commissioning/startup support through energization. Development and delivery of physical, electrical, civil and communication design studies, calculations, drawings, exhibits and specifications. Coordination with ECI's subject matter expert discipline groups such as Distribution Studies, Transmission Studies, Grounding Studies, Protection (relay coordination and settings), Civil Engineering, Communication (SCADA Integration) and Transmission & Distribution Engineering.

Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; design engineering experience is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organization and planning skills; ability to work in a team environment; commitment to quality and accuracy; willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules. Commitment to progress toward PE licensure is encouraged. Fundamental knowledge of power engineering principles and applicable codes and standards.

Participation in client-mandated drug and background checking. Occasional travel/driving required; subject to ECI’s auto insurance carrier requirements. No immigration sponsorship required.

Compensation Range: $88,000 - $116,000 annually. Salary commensurate with experience and education.
