Position SummaryAs the Associate Applications Engineer – Mechanical you will assist with the integration of power generation equipment in customer projects by supporting design, documentation, and verification activities. This role collaborates with internal teams and vendors to ensure compliance with industry standards and provides technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Accountabilities- Assist with the design and development of walk-in enclosures, housing, and system requirements for generator sets, KPP, BESS, and related systems.
- Support the preparation, submission, and tracking of RFIs, and review C/D&E documents to ensure client expectations and project documentation are met.
- Assist in verifying manufacturing drawings, P&I diagrams, schematics, and data sheets for compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
- Research and analyze requirements from engineering standards, contracts, and proposals; review and compare customer specifications against MTU designs and vendor proposals.
- Support the preparation and finalization of equipment specifications, collaborate with internal teams for component procurement, and coordinate with vendors for production release.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship; company not sponsoring visas.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automation Engineering, or related field, or 4 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Experience working with reciprocating internal combustion engines and exhaust gas treatment systems.
- Fundamental knowledge of AC and DC electricity.
- Demonstrated ability to solve engineering problems, analyze data, and present conclusions to management.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office suite, BIM
360, drafting tools, and CAD software.
- Proficiency with SAP, Windchill, Creo, MS Project, and engineering collaboration tools.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or OSHA
30 certification. - Hands‑on experience with control systems, PLC programming, and parameter changes.
- Willingness to travel for business trips up to 10%.

Pay Range: $66,306 – $107,747 annually
