A law firm seeks an Intellectual Property Attorney with a strong background in the medical device sector to join their team in Minneapolis, MN. The candidate should have a minimum of five years of experience and may work remotely to some extent. The role involves working with various medical device technologies, including surgical and robotics-assisted devices.
Duties- Draft and prosecute medical device patent applications in the U.S. and internationally.
- Conduct freedom-to-operate and patentability analyses.
- Perform due diligence and handle patent procurement services.
- Manage patent portfolios effectively.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
- Experience with medical device technologies, including surgical and robotics-assisted devices.
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
- License in good standing in the resident state.
- Registration before the USPTO.
Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in mechanical engineering preferred.
CertificationsRegistration before the USPTO.
