We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our CAAS (Nonprofit Industry) team based in our offices in Minnesota or Iowa.
Key Responsibilities:Cultivate a deep understanding of client operations while managing multiple accounts, utilizing appropriate software and chart of accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Lead the processing and coordination of accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash collections, and payroll transactions.
Oversee and review account reconciliations, including prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, and accruals. Prepare and review both simple and complex financial statements, reviewing general ledgers and cash flows, while establishing and documenting processes and procedures.
Complete sales tax returns and Form 1099s, along with preparing work papers for audits and tax returns as required by clients.
Manage the workflow and quality of work produced by Associates and Analysts, ensuring efficiency and excellence in deliverables.
Collaborate on internal audits, due diligence processes, system selection, and other consulting projects as necessary.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required; a combination of relevant experience and education may be considered in lieu of a degree.
