We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our onsite medical team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide critical pre-hospital emergency care in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering prompt, professional medical assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their safety and well-being.

• Emergency Medical Technicians possess the basic knowledge and skills necessary to stabilize and safely transport patients/residents ranging from non-emergency and routine medical transports to life threatening emergencies.
• Perform interventions with the basic equipment typically found on an ambulance.
• Provide quality hospital care and transport by receiving emergency ambulance calls and responding to them promptly and professionally.
• Assist in the ED with initial triage and patient care.
• Assist where needed while on-site

• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical equipment/supplies and helps maintain equipment, orders supplies, and cleans and restocks the treatment areas.
• Ability to safely assist with the transfer of patients/residents to and from procedural areas including but not limited to Radiology and other areas.
• The ability to communicate directly with physicians, nursing staff, patients/residents, and patient/resident families and is responsible to report changes in the patient's/resident's condition.
• Knowledge and be able to perform high quality basic life support (BLS) and be able to apply and use a LUCAS device.
• Prepare and position stable patients/residents during transport.

• Assisting the on duty paramedic as needed.
• Informing the manager of deficiencies in supplies, equipment, needed documents, and ambulances.
• Representing the ambulance and its staff in a positive manner at all times.

• Developing a working diagnosis based on information available.
• Writing a comprehensive report documenting the situation at the scene, exam results, orders received, treatments rendered supplies used.
• Obtaining all billing information possible including patients signature for billing purposes.

• Maintaining the ambulances, supplies, and equipment.
• Cleaning and maintaining the ambulances.
• Inform the manager and on-site paramedics of deficiencies in supplies, needed documents and ambulances.
• Completing appropriate reports including call logs and vehicle check off sheets.

• Represents the hospitals in private and public sponsored events relating to activities such as tours and presentations.
• Demonstrates compliance with Infection Control policies and procedures.
• Performs work in a manner that reduces the risk of transmission of infection to patients, self, and co-workers.
