Position SummaryAs the Sr. Program Manager, you will be responsible to analyze and benchmark internal projects and program portfolios against each other. This position facilitates lessons learned and continuous improvement. In collaboration with HQ and further develops and implements cross‑BU global Portfolio‑/Program‑/Project Management guidelines, processes, methods and tools. The Portfolio Manager works closely with the sales & execution.
Key Accountabilities- Develop and implement global portfolio, program, and project management guidelines, processes, and tools in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Analyze and compare global and regional project portfolios using standardized performance indicators, escalating issues as needed.
- Collect, analyze, and share lessons learned to drive continuous improvement in portfolio performance.
- Guide senior management and project teams in the effective use of project management tools, reporting, and cross‑functional planning.
- Support project success by monitoring progress, managing risks and opportunities, and ensuring compliance with project objectives and financial reporting requirements.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Business Administration, with 7 years in customer project execution for power generation or 11 years in that area.
- Excellent experience in SAP landscape (e.g. PPM, BW, SAC, CEC).
- Proven knowledge in Portfolio / Program / Project Management (e.g. IPMA or PMI certification).
- Demonstrated experience managing global portfolios or large‑scale cross‑functional projects.
- Basic knowledge of construction management processes.
- Power generation market knowledge.
- Knowledge of gas and diesel engine technology.
- Good business acumen.
- Basic understanding of P&L.
- Proven knowledge in process management and in KPI systems.
