Position Summary...The Senior Manager II, Site Engineer

The team manages and supports automated grocery building control centers, serving as experts in network grocery automation. They lead project implementation and sustainment by collaborating with stakeholders to define objectives, assess risks, and drive continuous improvement. The team develops tools to enhance project analytics and operational efficiency, provides training support, and ensures alignment with business goals while managing organizational change.
Focused on delivering results through effective project and risk management, the team plays a vital role in advancing Walmart's supply chain operations with professionalism and integrity.
Role summary:
The Senior Manager II, Site Engineer
- Supply Chain, leads strategic partnerships with site leadership to drive end-to-end improvements within the Distribution Center. This role manages and balances workloads of Process Quality Engineers to support network and site-specific projects. It applies continuous improvement methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma, and Statistical Process Control to eliminate losses and sustain process enhancements. The role supports Daily Management System reviews by analyzing performance metrics and implementing corrective actions.
It drives execution of business plans by identifying operational needs, removing barriers, and adjusting priorities to meet performance standards. The Senior Manager II, Site Engineer
- Supply Chain, mentors and develops associates to build high-performing teams aligned with company values and ethics. It evaluates and improves operational plans and initiatives to enhance efficiency.
Extensive experience in supply chain management with strong operational knowledge of distribution center processes. Proven expertise in root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies, including Six Sigma and process improvement tools. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Strong project management skills with the capacity to drive multiple initiatives and align business plans with operational goals.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 4 years' experience in Continuous Improvement work or related area OR 6 years' experience in Engineering, Continuous Improvement work or related area. 4 years' experience leading teams. Knowledge and application of a functioning Quality Management System elements (for example, Statistical Process Control, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Quality Key Performance Indicators).
Demonstrated project ownership resulting in sustainable, long term savings. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
