The ideal Laser Operator is responsible for the set-up and operation of the Amada laser cutting machine. The candidate will be able to perform machine set up including: program retrieval, ensuring proper gases and nozzles, and correct material selection. If you’re a team player with an enthusiastic and positive attitude, we’d like to meet you!
Responsibilities- Ability to diagnose machine problems while performing jobs, making modifications as needed.
- Performs laser cutting operations efficiently and effectively per specifications.
- Performs detailed checks to the quality of product machined and notify supervisor of process issues.
- Operates and navigates in a Windows-based computer environment.
- Ability to program nesting software to maximize product/material usage.
- Adheres to safety procedures and regulations, including proper maintenance and housekeeping of laser area.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in a related field preferred.
- Prior knowledge of operation of laser equipment required.
- Ability to understand and follow customer prints and possess good math skills.
- Strong organizational, analytic, and time management skills, attention to detail.
- Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Pay range: $24 - $30 per hour
