The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain process to ensure the efficient and effective movement of goods and services from suppliers to customers. This role involves managing production planning, inventory control, procurement, vendor relationships, and logistics to enhance overall operational efficiency and meet organizational goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, analytical skills, and a strategic approach to supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Strategy and Management:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize procurement, production, inventory, and distribution processes.
- Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with company objectives.
Production Planning and Inventory Control:
- Oversee production planning, scheduling, and inventory management to meet production targets and customer demands.
- Ensure accurate forecasting and inventory levels to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
Procurement and Vendor Management:
- Manage procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing raw materials and supplies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring a reliable supply of goods and services at competitive prices.
Logistics and Distribution:
- Coordinate logistics and distribution activities to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Optimize transportation routes and warehouse operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
