Machinist

We are currently seeking a Machinist with strong experience in manufacturing environments. This position is located in Mankato, MN.

The Toolmaker role is responsible to create precision tools to aid in the company’s manufacturing processes. This position will include grinding, turning, and milling material to create the required parts and jigs. It will also assist in the design of the parts and jigs in CAD software and/or interpret blueprints from the organization’s product designers. This position requires troubleshooting abilities of production issues, driving root‑cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.

Must be able to communicate effectively across all departments and platforms.

• Proficiency in reading, using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers and indicators, operating toolroom equipment and skilled in CAD/CAM software
• Program CNC and manually operated toolroom equipment
• Ability to work with tight tolerances and capable of trouble‑shooting tooling and fixturing issues
• Perform maintenance on your machines
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and follow 5S principles

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Technical Trade School or Associate’s Degree in Machine Tool Technology
• 3-5 years tool and die making experience

• Strong mechanical skills and problem‑solving abilities
• Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Solid Works
