Quality Engineering Intern

Job Summary

Nidec is a global enterprise with over 140,000 employees manufacturing high efficiency motors for industrial and commercial applications. The role is located in North Mankato, MN.

First shift Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm on-site. Salary $20.00 – $22.00 hourly, bi-weekly pay.

• Perform data research in Oracle for defect analysis trends.
• Assist Quality Engineers in root cause determination.
• Assist in continuous improvement implementation and lean projects.
• Use database for data mining and analysis reports.
• Read and understand drawings and blueprints.

• Pursuing a degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Basic knowledge or interest in learning continuous improvement tools and quality tools such as Pareto, trend charts, 8-D, cause/effect diagrams, flow charts, and 5 whys.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Basic knowledge of quality troubleshooting tools.
