Opportunity

Corporate Graphics Commercial, a Taylor company, is looking for a Skilled Press Technician to work on our Case Making equipment that produces softcover and hardcover books at our facility in North Mankato, MN. This position offers the opportunity to operate and maintain precision equipment in a fast paced production environment where your mechanical skill, attention to detail, and teamwork directly impact product quality.

Your Responsibilities
  • Carry out precisely detailed instructions from job orders accurately, identify possible errors or problems, and take prompt action to correct them.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate equipment for efficient, high quality production.
  • Monitor product quality and equipment performance throughout each run, making adjustments as needed while remaining alert to any mechanical problems and refer them to maintenance as necessary.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and uphold production standards for output, waste, and safety.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and complete all required logs and documentation.
  • Lead and collaborate effectively with the team to keep production on schedule.
Your Shift

2:30pm - 1:00am, Monday
- Thursday, with overtime opportunities available!

You Must Have
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude along with 3+ years of production related equipment operation, technician, or maintenance experience.
  • Proven leadership, professional communication skills, and the ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
  • Basic math skills to read a ruler and calculate label dimensions for stock optimization.
  • Ability to operate equipment and obtain proficiency as measured through production and quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail.
Requirements Within This Position
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position; frequently standing for majority of shifts.
  • Constantly operate and adjust machinery based on order needs and handles products including print materials.
  • Frequently required to move inside the facility.
  • Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry).
We Would Also Prefer
  • Prior experience in the printing industry.
Compensation

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $21 - $24. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
