General Manufacturing - Assembler - Fourth Shift

Job Summary

Shift: 4th shift (Friday – Sunday).

Work hours:

6:00a.m. – 6:00p.m.

Location:

Mankato, MN (On‑site). Starting salary: $30.60 – $37.00 hourly + 10% shift differential (Bi‑Weekly).

Perform difficult final electro‑mechanical assembly of complex units. Work from engineering drawings or specifications. Follow prescribed procedures and plan assembly procedures when needed. Adjust, fit and align to close tolerances to meet inspection standards. Perform other duties as designated by supervisor in the same salary grade or below.

This position is deemed to require special skills and experience which cannot be fulfilled by persons without such skill or experience.

Vocational or high‑school graduate plus formal training or equivalent on‑the‑job training. Minimum of ten thousand (10,000) hours of relevant experience. Must complete six thousand (6,000) hours as an Assembler “B” (may be waived if other criteria are satisfied). Must demonstrate ability to perform all functions in the Assembler “A” classification, including:

• Dial indicator usage without a fixture/jig.
• Bearing installation (oil and grease).
• Assembly of wide range frame sizes including DC generators and motor‑generator sets.
• Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
• Use of bearing puller/removal tools.
• Safe rigging and lifting of large/irregular parts, using multiple rigging and lifting simultaneously while building units.
• Identification of various hardware types and markings.
• Use of basic hand tools for electrical measurement and test equipment.
• Making “certified/KATO certified” heavy‑gauge and small‑gauge crimps.
• Working with various plumbing joints and tools (parker hose/crimp tool, pipe cutting/threading, etc.).
• Must be a sole U.S. citizen.
