Assembler 1 – Line 1

This position assembles generator sets and sub-assemblies that include both standard and non-standard product lines. This will require using hand and power tools and following quality and procedural techniques.

• Read, interpret, and implement mechanical instructions, drawings, schematics, and equipment used to perform mechanical assembly duties on Line 1 HPR Units
• Cross train in multiple assembly and mechanical areas and help in other areas based on necessity
• Develop and maintain an understanding of the products assembled and continuously learn the principles, practices, and processes of the job as changes require
• Recognize obvious defective or damaged parts, incorrect sizes, faulty workmanship and general quality
• Follow safety and environmental procedures and established processes and policies
• Provide input on continuous improvement opportunities within the department

• 3 years of mechanical knowledge and use of hand tools and equipment
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. frequently

• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
• Basic ability to perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to deliver results in a fast‑paced environment
• Demonstrates proficiency in both oral and written communication and ability to communicate in a team environment
• Quality and detail orientation and basic organizational skills
• Good ability to learn and adapt to changing technology
