Job Summary:
Shift: 2nd Shift (Monday - Thursday, 4:00p.m. to 2:00a.m.),
Location:
On‑site (Mankato, MN). Starting Salary: $24.58 to $28.57 hourly plus shift differential and additional differentials per CBA, subject to experience. Pay Frequency:
Bi‑weekly. Must pass MIL‑STD test.
- Operate arc and gas welding on a wide variety of metals and alloys, including commercial and military fabrication.
- Plan, layout and execute diversified fabrication work.
- Operate ring roller and associated equipment as required.
- Work from specifications, drawings, prints and welding symbols.
- Perform other duties as designated by supervisor within the same salary grade.
- Require at least 6,000 hours of welding experience and sufficient background in millwrighting fundamentals.
- Ability to determine proper machine settings, gas and filler selections for particular base metal and process applications.
- Certification to qualified procedures in accordance with Mil‑STD 248, ASME Section IX or other customer‑specified code.
- Must pass the MIL‑STD test and be a sole U.S. citizen.
- Vocational or high school graduate with courses in mechanical drawing, shop mathematics and shop practices plus formal on‑the‑job training or equivalent program.
