Compensation: $68,000–$92,000 per year (based on experience)

Schedule:

Day shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (flexible based on business needs)

Hiring a Senior Manufacturing Planner for a manufacturing company in Mankato, MN. This role will own the production plan for fabrication working closely with the shop floor, and managing real‑time changes across materials, capacity, and demand. This position is ideal for an experienced manufacturing planner who enjoys hands‑on problem solving, working closely with production teams, and making real‑time decisions to keep operations running.

What

You’ll Do as a Senior Manufacturing Planner
  • Develop and manage detailed production schedules aligned with the Master Production Schedule (MPS)
  • Translate customer forecasts and orders into executable production and material plans
  • Identify capacity constraints, material shortages, and schedule risks; recommend solutions
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, purchasing, and sales to support production execution
  • Monitor material availability and adjust schedules based on demand or supply changes
  • Maintain accurate ERP/MRP data including BOMs, lead times, and inventory parameters
  • Track key KPIs such as schedule adherence and on‑time delivery and recommend improvements
What You Need to Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of materials or production planning experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of MPS, MRP, and capacity planning principles
  • Experience working within ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and make data‑driven decisions
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate cross‑functionally
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) or S&OP/IBP experience preferred
