Starting Salary: $24.58 to $28.57 hourly (An additional $2.00 per hour technical differential is attainable after meeting CBA criteria.)Pay Frequency:
Bi-Weekly

• Carry through to completion with minimum supervision the machining and fitting of all kinds of metal parts, tools, and machines.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, written specifications, and schematics to properly layout and perform work.
• Set up and operate all available machines and machine tools and perform progressive machining operations on work involving very close tolerances or unusual requirements.
• Determine operation sequences.
• Use skillfully all machinists’ hand tools and determine machinability of metals to determine proper tooling selection (geometry) and application (fields, speeds).
• Operate CNC machines, including working knowledge of programming fundamentals.
• Ensure work produced consistently meets specification.
• Monitor coolant quality and change coolant as required.
• Perform daily/weekly TPM tasks with accuracy and consistency.
• Perform other duties as designated by supervisor in the same salary grade or below.

• In pursuit (full‑time or part‑time student) of a two‑year (2) vocational/accredited school certificate/degree.
• Once the two‑year certificate or degree is awarded plus four thousand (4,000) in‑house machining hours, the candidate will move to Machinist

• Requires knowledge of machining practices and techniques, basic mechanical principles and shop mathematics, setups, tooling applications, operating methods, and machinability of materials.
• Must be a sole U.S. citizen.
