Production Assembler

Production Assembly POSITION SUMMARY Since 2001, Herd Star has been providing innovative technology to both the industrial and agricultural markets. Herd Star, a growing small manufacturing business, based in Mankato, Minnesota, has partnered with companies all over the United States and is selling products across the world.

The Production Assembly position is responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks including, but not limited to; coating, mechanical assembly, soldering, and testing. To be successful in this role, you will need the ability to multitask and work in a team environment.

WHAT WE WILL ASK YOU TO DO:.Mechanical assembly including box builds, cable assemblies and bracket assemblies

Conformal coating electronics circuit boards

Participate in inventory counts as required

Adhere to Herdstar’s policies and procedures

Perform duties as workload necessitates

Maintain a positive and respectful attitude

Communicate regularly with management

Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload

Consistently report to work on time prepared to perform duties of position

Meet productivity standards.

Qualification Standards:

The ability to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job Detail Oriented and quality conscious

Basic math skills

The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects

Knowledge of electronic manufacturing equipment, machines, tools, and ESD processes

Ability to read and follow written assembly procedures

Ability to follow verbal instruction

Good organizational skills, well disciplined, and able to meet deadlines

Ability to work in a small environment

Ability to work under pressure of many priorities and deadlines; effective problem solver

High School diploma or equivalent PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THIS POSITION:

Requires a combination of sitting and standing throughout the day Requires lifting and the movement of equipment weighing up to 60 pounds, with or without accommodation

This position requires excellent finger dexterity, fine motor and vision skills

The use of small hand tools

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential function

Moderate noise level although hearing protection may occasionally be required
