Tooling Supervisor – Job Overview

Responsible for managing shift production, ensuring safety, quality, service, waste, productivity, and culture goals. Provides strong leadership and manages systems, equipment, people and materials in accordance with policies and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acts as safety leader, monitors colleague practices, investigates near misses.
  • Supports plant safety programs, audits, continuous improvement.
  • Monitors product conformance, oversees production to meet goals.
  • Manages employee timecards, schedules and coverage.
  • Champions continuous improvement projects and sustains gains.
  • Evaluates equipment/material problems in collaboration with Maintenance, Process Engineering.
  • Analyzes production data via dashboards and SAP.
  • Fosters high‑performance culture, promotes teamwork, addresses employee relations.
  • Conducts performance reviews, applies disciplinary procedures fairly.
  • Ensures employee training is current.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of operations/production supervision experience; or equivalent combination of education and 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office; SAP experience a plus.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to handle conflict, manage in fast‑paced environment.

Compensation
  • Base salary range $74,100 – $111,100, with additional benefits including annual bonus program and other benefits.
