Job Title:
Production Technician Pay: $30.91 per hour, plus 5% shift differential for night shift
Schedule:
4‑day on/4‑day off 12‑hour shift (6am‑6pm or 6pm‑6am). The schedule aligns with the continuous operating schedule.
- Setup, adjust, repair, overhaul and evaluate all end‑line equipment to maintain standard quality and quantity of production.
- Disassemble, replace, and reassemble all tools and dies.
- Measure and record all end dimensions against specifications.
- Inspect in‑process ends and raw materials at all stages to ensure quality requirements and specifications are consistently maintained.
- Perform mechanical repair and maintenance required for production.
- Operate mechanical hoists and drive forklifts.
- Maintain production and quality records, including isolation of poor‑quality product.
- Report quality problems or defects to plant supervisor.
- Ensure safe work practices are adhered to and maintain good housekeeping.
- Perform other job‑related duties as required or assigned.
- Pass mechanical aptitude test.
- Pass written aptitude test.
- Demonstrate mechanical capacity and technical capacity.
- Show problem‑solving/analysis and strategic thinking skills.
- Physical requirements:
frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, use hands, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms; occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, and smell. - Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Work in a factory setting with exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic; noise level is very loud, requiring significant hearing protection; small confined areas may be required.
