B2B Marketing Intern: Persona & Journey Planner

• Use existing company data and internal knowledge to create customer personas
• Map the customer journey for each type of commercial roofing buyer
• Research and develop content using AI best practices
• Review CRM data, sales notes, website analytics, and customer feedback
• Create personas for building owners, property managers, facility managers, and other commercial roofing buyers
• Document personas’ goals, challenges, priorities, and decision-making processes
• Summarize what matters most to each persona when evaluating roofing services
• Map each persona’s journey from awareness of a roofing need through choosing a contractor
• Identify key questions, concerns, and decision points at each stage
• Highlight where marketing content can educate, reassure, or support buyers
• Outline content plans for each persona and journey stage
• Recommend content types, including blog posts, email campaigns, case studies, FAQs, checklists, and sales resources
• Suggest content delivery channels such as websites, email, sales follow‑ups, and social media
• Ensure messaging is practical, clear, and relevant to commercial roofing customers
• Organize personas, journey maps, and content plans in shared documents or presentations
• Share findings with the marketing team and incorporate feedback
• Keep information understandable and updated as needed
• Work at a desk, use standard office equipment, communicate in person and by phone, and take notes
• Visit regional job sites

• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and interest in understanding customer behavior
• Comfortable working with documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
• Clear written communication skills
• Curious, organized, and willing to learn
• Basic knowledge of marketing concepts (personas, funnels, or content marketing) preferred
• Interest in B2B marketing, construction, or trades industries
• Familiarity with CRM tools or marketing platforms helpful, but not required
• Travel to job sites in the region is required
• Ability to work in a home and corporate office environment and visit job sites
