Primary job responsibilities would include: patient evaluations such as consultations and post-surgical care; functioning as first assist in the operating room; and acute management of patients during level red trauma activations. Other job duties include: ordering, conducting, and interpreting diagnostic tests; formulating a diagnostic impression; developing and implementing a treatment plan; monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions; and prescription of pharmacological agents and non-pharmacological therapies.

The role would include operative first assist, inpatient management, and ambulatory care patient responsibilities.

Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current MN RN and APRN license and certification as an FNP or ACNP.

Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the MN State Board of Medical Practice.

• 2 years' experience preferred. New graduates may be considered. Previous first assist experience preferred.
• Active BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date required.

Full Time. This position will typically function under a schedule M-F 7:30-4:00 with shared responsibilities for weekend shifts and overnight call in a ratio of 1:5-6. Weekend and night coverage will be shared in a ratio of 1:5-6.
