Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Specialist

Position: Dimensional Inspector

Department: Quality Assurance

Shift: 3rd Shift |
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Reports to: Assistant Quality Manager

Role Overview

The Dimensional Inspector ensures that manufactured parts meet all visual and dimensional quality specifications. This role supports production by performing inspections, documenting findings, and communicating quality concerns in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspection rounds in designated work areas.
  • Verify part quality using visual checks, dimensional measurements, and established work instructions.
  • Identify and report quality issues to the Quality and Production Supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of defects, measurements, and shift-related quality concerns.
  • Keep the Quality Assurance area clean and organized.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Understanding of injection molding processes.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance methods, processes, and standards.
  • Ability to read blueprints (preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving ability and effective verbal/written communication.
  • Proficiency in basic math and use of standard measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, feeler gauges, height stands).
  • Ability to identify quality issues visually and dimensionally.
Tools & Equipment Used

Micrometers, calipers, gauges, gauge pins, dial indicators, optical comparator, vision systems, CMM, PC, and two-way radio.
