Summary:
Provides merchandising services and on-site customer support at customer locations to ensure prescribed regular service programs and customer relationships are maintained at or above expectations. The territory covers 24 stores with an approximate 40-hour work week and a flexible schedule. This is an hourly position with pay typically from $18-20 per hour. A company car will be provided along with a corporate gas card for business miles.
Cities include Rochester, Owatonna, and Mankato.

- Merchandising and Customer Support:
Travel to and among customer store locations as required according to the service schedule and as needed to resolve issues; maintain customer stores by ensuring displays are set to plan-o-grams, assess inventory levels, place customer orders, down-stack products, remove defective product, place POP material, and repair displays and equipment. - Store Display Resets:
Perform physical work to tear down and/or assemble store displays, including racks and other prescribed display items per plan-o-grams; may provide direction and supervision to temporary or support personnel. - Conduct Store Surveys:
Complete customer service sheets and surveys as directed; take photos of displays. - Follow Company Policies:
Maintain and timely submit required records and receipts; follow prescribed time reporting procedures and submit time worked accurately and promptly.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college courses preferred.
- Two years field service or merchandising experience preferred, ideally in a large-scale retail environment.
- Able to read and execute store plan-o-grams; proficient with Word, Excel, and Windows.
- Able to regularly travel to and among store locations, with occasional overnight stays as required.
- Maintains a valid driver’s license and a driver record acceptable under Hillman’s Vehicle Policy.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and Windows.
- Ability to read and execute store plan-o-grams efficiently.
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and interact tactfully with the public.

Work Environment:
Sales/Service environment varies by location and store setup. May be exposed to cramped quarters, dust, fumes, or odors. Daily travel required; may drive up to 200 miles daily. Hand/eye coordination required. Vision and hearing adequate to perform duties.
Physical Demands:
May lift up to 50 lbs.
