Position: (USA) Member Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Provide member service and support.
  • Maintain the checkout area and ensure safe operations.
  • Resolve member issues and concerns.
  • Promote Sam’s Club products and services.
  • Provide guidance and support regarding self‑service technology.
  • Process member purchases, payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to policy.
  • Follow company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling merchandise.
  • Correct and report unsafe situations to facility management.
  • Maintain entrance areas; acknowledge members, verify membership cards, and identify member needs.
  • Assist members with purchasing decisions and locating merchandise.
  • Zone the area, arrange and organize merchandise, and assist members with transporting items.
  • Maintain a safe shopping environment.
  • Maintain exit areas; review member receipts and acknowledge member needs.
  • Assist with securing and safeguarding Sam’s Club assets by observing potential criminal activity per policy.
  • Maintain paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.
  • Execute emergency response procedures and ensure compliance with security and safety practices.
  • Assist with training member frontline associates on processes and procedures.
  • Teach new technology and tool functionality.
  • Deliver new program rollout training.
  • Provide continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure area of responsibility is maintained per company policies by properly handling returns.
  • Identify shrink and damages.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics standards by implementing action plans and using the Open Door policy.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; adapting to change, difficulties, and feedback.

Compensation

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $26.00*

The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
