Welder B - Fourth Shift

Job Summary

Position:
Operator – Arc & Gas Welding

Work Shift:

4th Shift (Friday – Sunday)

Hours:

6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Location:

On‑site, Mankato, MN
Compensation: $24.58 – $28.57 per hour, commensurate with experience, 10% shift differential (+$3/hr) in addition to CBA‑eligible differentials. Must pass MIL‑STD test.

• Perform arc and gas welding on a wide variety of metals and alloys, including commercial and military fabrication pieces.
• Apply proper machine settings, gas and filler selections for specific base metal and process applications.
• Operate ring roller and associated equipment as required.
• Interpret specifications, drawings, prints, and welding symbols to execute welding tasks.
• Plan, layout, and perform diversified fabrication work in compliance with Mil‑STD 248, ASME SectionIX, or other required codes.
• Complete any additional duties as directed by the supervisor, within the same salary grade or below.

• Vocational or high‑school graduate with coursework in mechanical drawing, shop mathematics, and shop practices.
• Formal on‑the‑job training or equivalent program in welding and fabrication.
• Minimum of 6000 hours of experience to meet basic trade fundamentals in millwrighting.
• U.S. citizen.
