Job Summary
Operator – Arc and Gas Welding (2nd Shift).
Work Hours:
4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
Work Location:
On‑site (Mankato, MN). Starting Salary: $24.58 to $28.57 per hour, commensurate with experience, plus 10% shift differential. Must pass MIL‑STD test. Pay Frequency:
Bi‑weekly.
- Plan, layout, and perform diversified fabrication work.
- Operate ring roller and associated equipment as required.
- Work from specifications, drawings, prints, and welding symbols.
- Determine proper machine settings, gas feed, and filler selections for particular base metals and process applications.
- Perform other duties as designated by supervisor within the same salary grade or below.
- Meet safety and load requirements for critical tasks.
- Six thousand (6,000) hours of experience required to acquire sufficient background in millwrighting and fabrication work.
- Must be a sole U.S. citizen.
Vocational or high school graduate with courses in mechanical drawing, shop mathematics, and shop practices, plus formal on‑the‑job training or an equivalent program.
CertificationsCertification to qualified procedures in accordance with Mil‑STD 248, ASME Section IX, or other code compliance specified by customer contracts.
